Blair's research is on the faunal context of early human occupation of eastern Asia.  She has studied the faunas of sites in the Nihewan Basin of China and in eastern Africa, including Olduvai Gorge.  She graduated from Indiana University in 2017 with a dual PhD in Geological Sciences and Anthropology.  She is now at Fairfield University in Connecticut and has an affiliated appointment at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History.
